We offer two exclusive locations—Lower Weardale and Upper Weardale—each providing a unique and peaceful escape.
Lower Weardale features 9 beautifully designed lodges, each with its own distinctive interior and a private hot tub. Situated along a scenic river, these lodges offer breath-taking views of the surrounding valley, creating the perfect setting for relaxation.
Upper Weardale, our newest site, offers stunning, panoramic views of the Weardale Valley and its lush pastures. This elevated location is ideal for those looking to fully immerse themselves in the serenity of nature.
As a family-run business, we take pride in offering a personal and welcoming experience. Both sites are located just a short walk from Eastgate, a charming village with a cosy pub, and are only three miles from the historic market town of Stanhope. Guests can also enjoy nearby countryside walking trails, perfect for exploring the natural beauty of Weardale.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at Weardale Lodges and it’s been amazing each time. Clean, beautifully decorated, great views and has everything you need. The hot tub is great too! We will definitely be coming back again soon.

Just getting home from a 3 day break and I will definitely be going back , we stayed in tree tops lodge it was absolutely beautiful, clean and modern it was just like home from home we had everything we needed couldn't fault anything 😀

Most amazing lodges...just been for the 3rd time to celebrate my daughters 30th birthday..as always everything was beautiful, clean, peaceful and they even decorated the lodge for her and ours for my partners birthday..definitely 5* would give more if I could...the most beautiful place to stay...looking forward to next time xxx

We have just stayed 4 nights at lodge 23. The lodge has the wow factor, it is beautifully furnished. It was spotlessly clean in everything room. Lots of cupboard space.
We had a complimentary bottle of prosecco in the fridge for us which was a lovely surprise. There was a bottle of milk there too. There was tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper . Also washing up liquid, dish clothes, and tea towels, so there is no need to bring these items.
The site is maintained to a high standard, it was so peaceful sitting out listening to the birds. The hot tub was checked everyday , it was so relaxing just chilling in it.
There is ducks and ducklings in the site which are so entertaining to watch , pleased we took duck feed with us.
We will definitely be coming back .

Me and my partner stayed here for 3 days and it was the most beautiful, peaceful, relaxing time we’ve had in a long time. Our life revolves around our son 24/7 and the time we had at this lodge was just what we needed. It was just so perfect and so quiet, even just standing outside on the decking listening to the ducks, the sheep and the water flowing is just pure tranquility. If you’re looking for somewhere that’s quiet and feels like time stops, this place is the one. We couldn’t recommend it enough and the owner Debbie is so down to earth, we are so grateful and so thankful to stay here and will definitely 100% be coming back again. Long story short, it literally feels like you’re at home.

Just returned home after a fabulous 4 night stay in lodge 22, from the moment we walked through the door( shoes off😁) we were absolutely stunned by the sheer luxury and high end decor, I can honestly say it's the best lodge we've ever stayed in and the covered hot tub in that beautiful setting in something else, we can't wait to return and will make it our mission to try them all.

Fantastic lodges in a beautiful area, this was our first visit to Weardale lodges and we were very impressed with the lodges, it's great to have a hot tub which I used twice daily.
The lodge very clean, and well furnished with modern furniture.

I booked it for me and my wife as a surprise for her birthday. They went above and beyond by putting out balloons, snacks and some prosecco.

We’ve just returned from an excellent 5 night stay at Weardale holiday lodges - we stayed in lodge 23. It was immaculate and very much home from home. Lots of little touches which were appreciated.
Due to the very hot weather we didn’t spend as much time in the hot tub as planned but when we did use the hot tub, it was lovely to relax in such peaceful surroundings. We’ll definitely go back in the winter months for a few nights. If I could make one suggestion it would be to have fans to hand in the hotter weather as the lodges get very warm through the night! Overall a fantastic stay. Thank you

Just returned from pond view. The lodge is absolutely stunning and spotlessly clean! Couldn’t fault a thing. Love the secluded sheltered hot tub over looking the pond. We’ve had an amazing relaxing weekend. Thank you

Stayed in Lodge 21 and have to say absolutely fabulous would highly recommend. Cannot fault it, is alittle more expensive but for what you got worth every penny.. Most definitely be back.

Just returned home after a really lovely 3 night break in lodge 8 and would certainly recommend booking this lodge. Thank you so much for an unforgettable long weekend for my husbands birthday, balloons and prosecco very much appreciated. This was the best lodge we have stayed in and we could not fault anything. Just returned today stayed in lodges 11 and 12 for the weekend for a friends 40th, the BEST lodges EVER!! The lodge where the birthday girl was staying was all decorated for us on arrival, the location is stunning, very peaceful and the views are beautiful, comfy beds deco is very modern and lovely, nice and cosy. Towels etc all provided hot tub was lovely and warm kitchen was massive not a single fault with either of our lodges. Loved the ducks aswell that were beside the lake right outside our lodge. Thank you for a lovely stay we will be back again for sure. Laura x

Just stayed here at the weekend what a place we have stayed in lodges all over the uk this is without doubt 1 ov the best its our new favourite cant wait to come back at christmas time we stayed in lodge 20 its unreal unexpected milk prosecco and treats was a very nice touch fab location hot tub amazing wow 🏴🇬🇧

Every lodge we have stayed in has been immaculate, amazing decor and well kitted out ….. we visit lodges up and down the country often and these are by far the best about. Upper weardale views are amazing we will be back again soon…..

Just returned from a 3 night stay at Pond View Upper Weardale and the lodge was amazing! Beautifully furnished and decorated to a very high standard. If your looking for a lodge stay you'll get no better. I'll definitely be booking again.

First time staying here. We stayed in lodge 12 and it was everything and more after seeing the description and photos provided on the website, it looked exactly as it should! The decor inside is absolutely stunning! Very warm and cosy stay, the whole place was immaculate!
The hot tub was checked every morning and was perfect to use alongside a lovely view. The surrounding area is so tranquil, sounds of the river wear trickling past and the wildlife very comforting!
Lovely touches to make our stay that little more special with the bottle of Prosecco and snacks - we loved this!
It’s around 5-7 minute drive or so to Stanhope and about a 15 minute walk to a lovely little pub called the Cross Keys just in Eastgate village - great beer garden but make sure you book a table for food in advance - gets really busy!
We also popped into Everyday Cafe in Stanhope - stopped there on the way to the lodge and when we left. Great breakfast and light bite options!

Just got back from a woderful relaxing break at Upper weardale lodges.
The lodge was of a very high standard with all the amenities provided.
These lodges are onexof the very best we have stayed in with the very best furnishings thoughtful designed.
We woukd definitely recommend these lodges to any one wishing to have a realy realxing break.

Arrived home today after the most perfect4 night stay at pasture view in the upper weardale lodges. The lodge was amazing, no fault or complaints at all, we were also given some treats which were unexpected, biscuits, crisps, Easter eggs and also prosecco and milk in the fridge! The location is stunning, hot tub was very private, lovely walks, loved watching the sheep, lambs, ducks, chick's and rabbits running about in the field. The lodge itself was immaculate, felt like we were the first people to use it. We are already in the process of booking again for next year, I think it has become our new spot to go to, to celebrate our wedding anniversary 😀

We have just got back from the most amazing special weekend at Weardale Lodges. We stayed in Oak Tree and it was pure luxury and had everything we could have wished for to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary and the special little touches that were left for us made it even more special.
